Santa Maria Innovation Week

TB4Health, in collaboration with the Santa Maria Local Health Unit, is promoting a session dedicated to the Test Beds of Health Sector, to be held next Tuesday. This session, part of ULSSM’s Innovation Week, will challenge companies in the sector to find innovative technological solutions, such as the creation of a portable device for Vestibular Rehabilitation, a digital solution for clinical decision support in the area of Pathological Anatomy, the automation of the scheduling process for Internal Medicine and the optimization of the screening process for outpatient appointments.

In addition to these Open Innovation Challenges, the session, which will take place in the Egas Moniz Building on the campus of the Hospital de Santa Maria in Lisbon, will include a round table, networking moments, demonstrations and presentations of innovative projects by start-ups. ‘This session will be an excellent opportunity for sharing ideas, networking and collaboration between the various Start-ups and Test Beds in the National Test Bed Network,’ say the organizers.

This meeting aims to prepare the ground for the sustainability and continuation of these initiatives after the conclusion of the Recovery and Resilience Programme (PRR), under which they were launched, and will be attended by various national players involved.

The study ‘Adoption of AI Technologies in Healthcare: A Study of (Ethical) Inhibitors and Motivators’, carried out in partnership between TB4Health and the Neoma Business School in France, will also be launched, with a particular focus on the factors that influence the adoption of new Artificial Intelligence technologies by healthcare professionals.
