The Tb4Health emerged from a consortium composed of Biocant Park, Centro Hospitalar e Universitário de Coimbra, Centro Hospitalar Universitário Lisboa Norte, Complear, Medtronic e Lusíadas. Our members provide clinical, diagnostic and treatment services, as well as access to large-scale information databases, regulatory support, including protection of personal data, not only within the scope of the pilots, but especially to place the products or services derived from them on the market.
Biocant Park is a science and technology park specialized in Biotechnology and Life Sciences, located in Cantanhede, which plays an important role in stimulating and boosting the national biotechnology sector. As a consortium leader, Biocant Park provides a range of support services, from R&D support (technological platforms, services and hired R&D), administrative services, project management, business development support, and fundraising. Biocant is a member numerous national and international networks, which allows the establishment of partnerships and strategic contacts, to support the internationalization process of the companies within the ecosystem.
The ULS Coimbra offers a comprehensive care in all main medical and surgical specialties, having 19 accredited reference centers. ULS Coimbra has centers of excellence that ensure health services of high-level. The hospital is also a member of several European Reference Networks, being affiliated with M8 Alliance collaborative network. ULS Coimbra represents a central part of the Coimbra Health Ecossystem. The Central Region of Portugal, with Coimbra as a strategic hub, is a recognized European Union reference for active and healthy aging. As an associated partner of InnoSTARS and EIT Health KIC, CHUC collaborates with various biotech and IT companies, implementing the concept of a cutting-edge innovation hospital.
ULS Santa Maria is one of the main hospitals within the National Health Service with significant assets in human resources, applied technologies and accumulated know-how. It is a Reference Center for 17 clinical areas, being part of 10 European Reference Networkds (ERNs). ULS Santa Maria is also integrated into the Centro Académico de Medicina de Lisboa (CAML), representing one the three pillars of the Health Innovation triangle, along with iMM and the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Lisbon.
Complear is a company with the goal of empowering the digital health industry, leveraging regulations and compliance to create value for patients, companies, and society through automation and digital technology. Within the consortium, Complear provides a range of support services related to the certification of medical devices and in-vitro diagnostic medical devices, as well as in the field of information security and data protection. The team combines engineering and regulatory affairs expertise, being the first company in Portugal entirely dedicated to the regulatory sector of Software as a Medical Device. Complear already has a broad portfolio of national and international clients in this area.

The TB4Health consortium provide development, testing and experimentation services for new digital products or services to SMEs and startups in the healthcare sector. We have infrastructure, technology and know-how that will enable the progression of the Technology Readiness Level (TRL) of the products or services, facilitating the completion of the innovation cycle and enabling its early entry into the market.
